With the same uniforms and the same basic "Japanese" look, your graduating high school students look alot like my graduating Jr High kids, just bigger. :)
I didn't feel any of the emotion I'd heard other JETs mention at graduation, but maybe it'll be more emotional next year after I've been with the kids longer. The ceremony was just so butt-numbing boring and formal - why can't Japanese people use inflection and humor when they make speeches? But the wave-goodbye-to-the-9th graders at the end was cool. I'll miss a few of my kids, but sadly I didn't really get to know enough of them.
