At my doctor's appointment yesterday I was 3 cm dilated and 50% effaced!! Naturally, this got me very excited until I went home and Googled it. Apparently, you can be in this state for WEEKS!!! My due date is Sunday. Will she be early or late? Shian is convinced she'll arrive on Friday the 13th.

Hopefully not early so your Mum will be there, stay of your feet until she arrives. I was 3cm and 90% effaces for five weeks with Callum.
Is that why they sent you to Van.? Due to the effacement?
